Vocabulary for FOCA_2.3

TermDefinition
solution Any replacement for the variable that makes the equation true.
elimination An algebraic method used to solve a system of equations in which the equations of the system are combined so that one or more of the variables is eliminated.
substitution An algebraic method for solving a system of equations in which one equation is solved for one of the variables and the result is substituted in the other equation.
intersection The set of elements of two sets A and B that belong to both A and B, written A∩B.
