Vocabulary for FOCA_2.1

TermDefinition
parallel Two lines in the same plane that never intersect.
perpendicular Two lines that intersect to form a right (90°) angle.
slope-intercept form A linear equation is written in the form y = mx + b, where m is the slope and (0,b) is the y-intercept.
point-slope form A linear equation is written in the form y – y1 = m(x – x1), where m is the slope of the line and (x1, y1) is a point on the line.
standard form A linear equation in two variables is written in the form Ax + By = C, where A, B, and C are integers with no common factor (except 1) and A≥0.
