acceleration the rate of change of velocity over time
uniform acceleration see constant accelertaion
air resistance the resisting effect on a moving object due to friction of air.
delta the symbol that indicates the difference or change between two quantities.
slope a line's vertical change divides by its horizontal change
time of flight the elapsed time an object or projectile spends in the air
m/sec^2 a metric unit of measure for velocity
free fall movement that is due only to the force of gravity.
friction the force that opposed the relative motion of bodies.
initial speed the speed an object has at the beginning of an experiment
term a component of an equation
terminal speed maxium speed reached by an object in free fall; the speed at which forces of gravity and air resistance are equal
constant acceleration an accerelation that does not change; it is due to a velocity that changes at a constant rate
acceleration due to gravity(g) the acceleration of anobject due to earth's gravitational field strength;equal to 9.8 m/sec^2 on earth
