| Term | Definition |

| odd | Any integer that cannot be divided exactly by 2 is an odd number. The last digit is 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 |
| even | Any integer that can be divided exactly by 2 is an even number. The last digit is 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 |
| prime numbers | Natural number that has exactly two different factors, one and itself. |
| composite numbers | Natural number that has more than two factors. |
| Prime Factorization | Breaking down of a number to its simplest products |
| product | The answer when two or more numbers are multiplied together. |
| quotient | The answer after you divide one number by another dividend ÷ divisor = Quotient |
| divisor | The number you divide by dividend ÷ divisor = quotient Example: in 12 ÷ 3 = 4, 3 is the divisor |
| dividend | The amount that you want to divide up. dividend ÷ divisor = quotient Example: in 12 ÷ 3 = 4, 12 is the dividend |
