| Convex set | Not caved in - all segments drawn are contained in set. |
| Nonconvex set | Caved in - all segments drawn are not in set |
| Union | All elements of both sets |
| Intersection | Elements that both sets have in common. |
| Scalene | No sides are equal |
| Isosceles | Two sides are equal |
| Equilateral | All sides are equal |
| Null set | Empty set |
| Midpoint | The middle point on a segment |
| Equidistance | At the same distance |
| Segment | The set of all points between endpoints A and B |
| Ray | The set of points starting with endpoint A and going on forever through point B |
