WordDefinition
Range The range of the data set is the difference between the smallest and largest numbers.
Bar Graph A graph where lengths of bars are used to represent and compare data.
Steam and Leaf Plot Displays data to see how it is distributed (numbers in order)
Histogram A graph that resembles a bar graph, and shows data in frequencies.
Mode The value that occurs most often. A data set can have no mode, one mode, or more than one mode.
Mean The sum of the values divided by the number of values (average).
Line Graph Uses dots connected by lines to display data over time.
Meadian The middle value when vales are written in numerical order. If a data set has a even number of values, the median is the mean of the 2 middle values.
Box and Wisker Plot A diagram that displays data in four parts.
