TermDefinition
chord segment Segments that form when two chords intersect inside a circle.
exterior secant segment A secant segment that lies in the exterior of the circle.
secant Any line that intersects a circle in exactly two points.
secant segment A segment of a secant line that has exactly one endpoint on the circle.
tangent A line in the plane of a circle that intersects the circle in exactly one point. The point of intersection is called the point of tangency.
tangent segment A segment of a tangent line with one endpoint on a circle that is both the exterior and the whole segment.
