TermDefinition
center of dilation The center point from which dilation are performed.
directed line segment A segment that has magnitude (length) and direction. Partitions that occur on a line segments.
midsegment of a triangle A segment with endpoints that are midpoints of two sides of a triangle.
scale drawings A drawing of an object with lengths proportional to the object being drawn.
scale factor of dilation The ratio of a length on an image to a corresponding length on a preimage.
scale model A model is an object with lengths proportional to the object it represents.
scale The ratio of a length on the model or drawing to the actual length of the object being modeled or drawn.
similarity transformation When a figure and its transformation image are similar.
