Extending Whole Number Operations

Compatible Numbers Numbers that are friendly with each other and help us do math easily
Counting (Natural) Numbers The set of positive numbers that begin at one and increase by increments of one each time {1,2,3,....n}
Dividend the number that is being divided
Divisor the number that the dividend is being divided by
Estimation reasoning to determine an approximate value
Factor a number multiplied by another number to find a product
Product the total when two or more factors are multiplied
Quotient the answer to a division problem
Rounding a rough calculation of the value, number or quantity of something
Strip Diagram a linear model used to illustrate number relationships
Whole numbers the set of counting numbers including zero {0,1,2,3,...n}
