Hypotenuse | In a triangle, the side opposite the right angle. |
Pythagorean Theorem | In a right triangle, The square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs. |
Supplementary | A pair of angles that add up to 180 degrees. |
Triangle Sum Theorem | The theorem that states that the measures of the angles in a right triangle add up to 180 degrees. |
Transversal | A line that intersects two or more lines. |
Transformation | A change in the size or position of a figure. |
Similar | Figures with the same shape but not necessarily the same size. |
Scale Factor | A ratio used to enlarge or reduce similar figures |
Parallel Lines | Lines in plane that do not intersect. |
Congruent | Two or more figures with the same shape and size. |
