Geometry Ch. 4 vocab for Proofs

Equilateral Triangle All sides of the triangle are congruent
Linear Pair A pair of adjacent angles whose non-common sides are opposite
Reflexive Property For every number a, a=a
Vertical lines Two nonadjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines
Supplementarty Angles Two angles with measures that have a sum of 180
Transitive property For all numbers a,b & c, if a=b and b=c , then a=c
Symmetric Property For all numbers a & b if a=b then b=a
Congruent Having the same measure
Scalene Triangle No two sides of a triangle are congruent
Side Angle Side IF 2 sides and the included angle of one triangle are congruent to 2 sides and the included angel of another triangle then the triangles are congruent
Side Side Side If the side of one triangle are congruent to the sides of a seconde triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
Angle Side Angle If 2 angles and the Included side of one triangle are congruent to 2 angles and the included side of another triangle
Angle Angle Side If 2 angles and a nonincluded side of one triangle congruent to the corresponding 2 angles and side of another triangle then the triangles are congruent
