Inane | pointless; stupid. |
Politic | wise in looking out for one’s own interests; prudent; shrewd. |
Premeditated | planned or plotted; closely considered beforehand; deliberate. |
Proxy | a person who is given the authority to act or stand in for another; written proof of such authority. |
Scapegoat | a person or thing who takes the blame for the mistakes or crimes of others. |
Transient | lasting or used for a short time only; not permanent; fleeting; a person who has no settled place. |
Demeanor | outward behavior; manner of conduct; bearing. |
Abashed | to make uneasy or ashamed; embarrass. |
Allure | to fascinate; to charm; to tempt with something desirable. |
Deference | courteous respect; a yielding in judgement, wishes, or opinion to another. |
