proportion an equation stating that two ratios or rates are equal
slope the rate of change between any two points on a line
unit rate a rate where the denominator is equal to one unit
ordered pair a pair of numbers used to locate a point on the coordinate plane
origin the point (0,0)
complex fraction a fraction that has a fraction in the numerator, denominator or both
quadrant one of the four regions of the coordinate plane
rate of change describes how one quantity changes in relation to another
