| Term | Definition |

| Prime | A number whose only factors are 1 and itself |
| Composite | A number that has more than two factors |
| Factor | A number or quantity that when multiplied with another produces a given number or expression. |
| Multiple | A number that can be divided by another number without a remainder |
| Prime Factorization | An expression of the product of all the prime factors of a number. |
| Greatest Common Factor (GCF) | The greatest number that is a factor of both original numbers. |
