TermDefinition
Scatterplot A graph of plotted points that show the relationship between two sets of data.
Correlation or Trend A relationship between two variables in a scatterplot.
Line of Best Fit A line drawn on the scatterplot such that the distance between each of the points and the line are minimized.
Outlier A data point that is significantly far away from the majority of the data.
Clustering When there is an association in a scatterplot, but it appears to come in clumps.
Two Way Table Shows data that pertain to two different categories.
System of Linear Equations Two or more linear equations.
Solution of a System of Linear Equations The ordered pair(s) that makes all equations in a system true.
One Solution of a System of Linear Equations When one ordered pair solves both equations in the system.
No Solution of a System of Linear Equations When no ordered pair will solve both equations in the system.
Infinite Solutions of a System of Linear Equations When an infinite number of ordered pairs will solve both equations in the system.
