| Transformation | The mapping, or movement, of all points of a figure in a plane according to a common operation |
| Vertical translation | Type of transformation that shifts the entire graph up or down |
| Horizontal translation | Is a shift of the entire graph left or right |
| Coordinate notation | Notation that uses ordered pairs to describe a transformation in a coordinate plane |

| Standard form of an exponential function | F(x)=a*b^2 |
| Parabola | The shape of a quadratic function when it is graphed |
| Interval | The set of real numbers between two given numbers |
| Open interval | (a,b) describes the set of all real numbers between a and b, but not including a or b |
| Closed interval | [a,b] describes the set of all real numbers between a and b, including a and h |
| Half-closed or half-open interval | (a,b] describes the set of all numbers between a and b, including b but not including a. [a,b) describes the set of all numbers between a and b, including a but not including b. |
