What do figures have in common | This is telling you to look at the two or more pictures on your paper and observe what they have in common. Example: figure one is a rectangle just like figure two. |
Draw a figure in the coordinate plane that matches the description | This is telling you to read what the description, and then draw all of the correct lines on the plane. Example: A rectangle with an area of 18 sq. units. Then, you would draw the rectangle with 18 sq. units. |
Find the area of the quadrilateral using two different methods | This would mean that you need to find two different ways to solve the problem. Example: you can do 2+2=4, or you can do 2x2=4. |
What are the disadvantages and advantages of each method | This is asking you to list what worked and what didn't work so well with your two methods. Example: 2+2 was very easy to do, but it is a low level math and can not be used to do everything. |
