| Box Set | Set design: a set that consists of two walls or three and a ceiling |
| Curtain Set | Set design: set uses wall or drapery at the back of set |
| Cyclorama | Set design: curtain that covers the back wall and sides of the stage. |
| Drops or backdrops | Set design: decorated canvas or muslin curtains that form a part of the scenery |
| Elevation Sketch | Set design: drawing that shows how the stage will look from the perspective of the audience. |
| Flats | Set design: canvas stretched over wooden frames, painted, and used scenery |
| Minimal set | Set design: A set made of two or three fold flats that create walls |
| Permanent set | Set design: set that remains in place throughout the entirety of the production |

| Gobo | Lighting: a metal sheet with a punched out design that produces a patterned effect |

| Tableau | Lighting: a visual effect in which actors stand in a frozen position |
| Amplifier | Sound: a device that provides the power supply for the speakers |
| Body Mic | Sound: a small mic that can be hidden in the performers clothing. |
| CD-R | Sound: a compact disc used for recording and playing back sound |
| Crash Box | Sound: a heavy box filled with glass or broken shards used for sound effects |
