| mechanical energy | is the sum of kinetic and potiental energy of an object that is used to do work |
| thermal energy | is the internal energy of an object due to the kinetic energy of it atoms and or molecules |
| nuclear energy | the energy released during nuclear fission or fusion, especially when used to generate electricity |
| pendulum | weight hung from a fixed pain and so that it can swing freely back and forth |
| radiation | the emission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving subatomic particles, especially high energy particles |
| conduction | the process which heat or electricity is directly transmitted through a substance when there is a difference of tempature of or electrical potential between adjoining regions without movement of the material |
