Triangle is a polygon with three sides
Interior Angle the original angles are the interior angles
Exterior Angles The angles that form linear pairs with the interior angles are this
Corollary to a theorem is a statement that can be proven easily using a the theorm
Scalene Triangle triangle that doesn't have any equal sides
Isosceles Triangle triangle that has 2 equal sides
Equilateral Triangle triangle that has 3 equal sides
Acute Triangle Triangle that has 3 acute angles
Right Triangle triangle that has 1 right angle
Obtuse Triangle triangle that has 1 obtuse angle
Equiangular Triangle triangle that has all angles equal
Congruent figures Have congruent parts; exactly equal in size and shape
Corresponding parts parts (angles or sides) are in the same relative position each of the figures
Leg of a right triangle Two sides that form a right triangle
Hypotenuse the sides adjacent to the right triangle
Flow Proof this proof format shows the structure of a proof using boxes and connecting arrows
Transformation is an operation that moves or changes a geometric figure in someway to produce new figure
Image new figure is called this
Translation moves every point of a figure the same distance in the same direction
Reflection uses a line of reflection to create a mirror image of the original image
Rotation turned a figure about a fixed point called the center of rotation
Congruence transformation changes the position of the figure without changing its size or shape
