| Innocence and Youth | admired by romantics because young innocent people are not yet corrupted by the evils of society or civilization |
| Imagination | The Romantics believed that the imagination was a valuable source of information that deserved exploration |
| Inspired by Nature | Romantic thinkers believed nature is more valuable than towns and cities. In nature peopld are free to be themselves, free from judgement of others and free from the negative influences of society and civilization |
| Five I's | Innocence and Youth, Imagination, Inspired by Nature, Intuition, Individualism |
| Intuition | Romantic thinkers believed we should listen to our innter voices that tries to lead and direct us. |
| Individualism | Valued individual and embraced the concept of "To thine ownself be true" |
