Creamy | Containing or made from cream. "We had fish with a creamy sauce." |
Crispy | Food that is crispy is firm in a pleasant way, and makes a noise when you bite it. |
Crumbly | Breaking easily into very small pieces. |
Crunchy | Crunchy foods make a loud noise when you bite them. |
Cuisine | A particular style of cooking food, especially the style of a particular country or region. "Thai/Italian cuisine." |
Expel | To officially force someone to leave a place or organization because of their bad behaviour. "They have no legal power to expel a party member." "The police were sent to expel the demonstrators from public buildings." |
Extract | To remove something from a particular place. "He opened a drawer and extracted a file." |
Fair trade goods | Goods from developing countries that have been paid for with fair prices. |
Fibre | Parts from food that your body cannot digest. A long thin piece of a natural or artificial substance, similar to a thread. |
Flavouring | A substance added to food or drink to give it a particular taste. "This product contains no artificial flavourings." |
Fruity | Tasting or smelling like fruit. "A fruity red wine." |
Funky | With a strong and unpleasant smell. A type of music that has a strong simple beat which is good for dancing. |
GM (genetically-modified) food | Genetically modified: used for describing foods whose genes have been changed to give them particular qualities. |
