Term | Definition |
---|---|
Point of Congruence | A point where three lines intersect |
Median | A segment whose endpoints are a vertex and the midpoint of the side opposite the vertex. |
Circumcenter | Is the point of congruency of the perpendicular bisectors of the triangle. |
Perpendicular bisector | Intersects a side of the triangle at its midpoint and forms four right angles. |
Centroid | Is also known as the center of gravity and is the point of concurrency of the medians of the triangle. |
Incenter | Is the point of concurrency of the angle bisectors of the triangle. |
Midsegment | Is a segment connecting two sides of the triangle at its midpoints. |
Angle bisector | Divides an angle of the triangle into two congruent angles. |
