How was Napoleon able to control the countries neighboring the French Empire? By making sure those countries had puppet governments and threat of force.
Who was Napoleon Bonaparte? The dictator of France, considered one of the greatest military leaders of all time.
What was the Coup D'Etat? A sudden seizure of power or blow to the state.
What was a plebiscite? The vote of the people.
What was a lycée? A government-run public school in France.
What was a concordat? A formal agreement, especially one between the pope and a government dealing with the control of Church affairs.
What was the Napoleonic Code? A comprehensive and uniform system of laws established for France on Napoleon.
What was the Battle of Trafalgar? An 1805 naval battle in which Napoleon's naval forces were defeated by a British fleet under the command of Horatio Nelson.
