What is Humidity? How much water vapor (h20) is in the air.
What is Relative Humidity? A measure of water vapor in the air compared to the amount of water vapor it can hold. (Percentage)
What is a Psychrometer? A tool to measure relative humidity- 2 thermometers mounted together- has a dry bulb and a wet bulb with a wet cloth on it.
What is Saturation? When the air is holding maximum water vapor.
What is Dew Point? When air becomes saturated and reaches full capacity and can hold the water vapor any longer and excess water condenses on a object . Can condense into fog creates dew on grass.
Why do you think we have dew in the morning? The temp. goes down at night and holds less water vapor.
Which one hold more water vapor, cold air or warm air? warm air because the particles are more spread out and holds more water vapor.
What is a Sea breeze? When air off the sea goes onto land- normally happens during day. warmer on land
What is a Land Breeze? When air off the land goes onto sea- normally happens during night. warmer on water
What happens when air inside a balloon is heated? The balloon expands and gets less dense.
