Ch 1.3 Measuring Matter

TermDefinition
Weight A measure of the force of gravity acting on an object.
Mass The amount of matter in an object.
International System of Units(SI) A system of measurement based on multiples of ten and on established measures of mass, length, and time.
Volume The amount of space that matter occupies.
Density The ratio of the mass of a substance to its volume .
