| decomposer | breaks down dead plants and animals |
| plant adaptations- desert | long and shallow roots, waxy skin, |
| plant adaptations- arctic tundra | dark colors, shallow or no roots, small and short, grow together |
| animal adaptations- desert | burrow, camouflage |
| animal adaptations- arctic tundra | blubber, wide paws, camouflage |
