Reading Vocabulary words

TermDefinition
Article A nonfiction work based on facts usually found online in newspaper or magazines
text structure The way an author organizes text
Chronological order A type of text structure that uses time order
Cause and Effect structure A type of text structures that show's the relationships between events and their causes
Problem and solution order A type of text structure that states a problem and describes a possible solution
Text feature A format used to present information in an organized way (ex. headings, bold prints etc.
Graphic feature A photograph illustration timeline diagram or graph used to present information within a text
Main idea What text is mostly about
Secondhand Not new already used by someone else
Superior Far better than another
Veteran A person who served in the military
