Area is ? Area is the amount of surface inside a plane (flat) shape. Measured in 'square' units.
Formula for Area (in 'squared' meters) Area = Length x Width, A = L x W
A parallelogram A four-sided shape that has two pairs of parallel sides. A parallelogram has a base and a height.
Formula for the area of a parallelogram (in 'squared' meters) Area = Base x Height, A = B x H
Formula for Area of triangles and composite shapes Area = Base x Height x 1/2, A = B x H x 1/2
Volume is... Volume is the amount of space inside a box (if it is empty)
Formula for Volume Volume = Length x Width x Height, V= L x W x H
