Terms 9-14

QuestionAnswer
Dynamic character A character who matures or changes through the course of the story.
Static character A character who stays the same through the course of the story.
Round character A complex character who exhibits many personality traits, faults as well as virtues
Flat character A one-dimensional character – a character who exhibits limited qualities
Climax the highest point of interest in the story – the turning point
Cliché overused expression or idea that has lost its original quality or effect
Conflict a struggle between two opposing forces
