dissolve to mix a solvent into a solute evenly
solvent the substance in a solution in the largest amount
solute the substance that gets dissolved in the solvent
protons the positive sub-atomic particle in an atom
neutrons the neutral sub-atomic particle in an atom
electrons the negative sub-atomic particle in an atom
nucleus the part of the atom that contains the protons and neutrons
electron cloud the part of the atom that contains the electrons
physical properties A characteristic of matter that can be observed or measured with out changing the matter
mass The amount of matter in an object
weight The pull of gravity on matter
density The amount of mass in a given spce
melting point The temperature at which matter begins to change from a solid to a liquid
boiling point The temperature at which matter begins to change from a liquid to a gas
solubility The ability to disolve
conductivity The ability to allow heat or electricity to go through
