What is Matter? is anything that has mass and takes up space
What is Chemistry? is the study of matter and its changes
What is a pure substance? is a type of matter that contains only one kind of particle
What is a mixture? is a type of matter that contains two or more pure substances mixed together
Is tap water a pure substance? No-tap water contains water particles and other kinds of particles as well
What is a solution- also known as a homogeneous mixture? It is a mixture that looks like a single pure substance. Actually, it is a uniform mixture of two or more pure substances
What is a mechanical mixture-also known as a heterogeneous mixture? It is a mixture with different parts that you can see.
