| polygon | a two dimensonal shape that has at least 3 straghit lines |
| prism | a three dimensional figuer with flat faces |
| surface area | the sum of areas |
| vertex | a corner where points meet |
| volume | units contaned in in a fidguer |

| base | a number raised to power |
| equation | a number sentance that uses an equal signs |
| exponent | how many times the base is used as a factor |
