| value | noun: the worth of something in money, goods, or services. What is the value of your car? |
| amount | noun: the sum of two or more quantities; total. This is the amount of money you owe them. |
| thousand | noun: the number that is equal to ten times one hundred; 1,000. |
| expensive | adjective: costing a lot of money; having a high price. She wanted the most expensive sneakers in the store. New cars are expensive. |
| interest | noun: a rate that is paid for the use of another person's money. The bank will pay us 7.9 percent interest on the money we keep there. |
| million | noun: the number that is equal to one thousand times one thousand; 1,000,000. |
| check | noun: a written order to a bank to pay money from an account. I pay my bills by check. |
| worth | noun: the value of a thing or person. His worth to the company cannot be measured. |
