Vocabulary of words. Inform 2-3

Word and definitionPart of speech and sentence
Mild: (of a rule or punishment) of only moderate severity. Adjective- Today the weather is mild, is perfect to go to the beach.
Port: A city, town, or other place where ships load or unload. Noun- We are going to meet in the port, I can't await, I'm so excited!
Jokes: Something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act Noun- Oh common! Don't get mad, it was just a joke!
Polite: Showing good manners toward others, as in behavior, speech, etc.; courteous; civil Adjective- When the Davidson family get here, you have to be polite to them.
Inch: A unit of length, 1/12 (0.0833) foot, equivalent to 2.54 centimeters Noun- This Tv measures, 20 inches.
Feathers: One of the horny structures forming the principal covering of birds, consisting typically of a hard, tubular portion attached to the body and tapering into a thinner Noun- The bird lost too many feathers when he crashed with the tree.
Pound: To strike repeatedly with great force, as with an instrument, the fist, heavy missiles, etc. Noun- How many pounds did weight when you were born.
Extinct: No longer in existence; that has ended or died out Adjective- All the race is extinct.
Appreciated: to be grateful or thankful for Adjective- You have to make her feel appreciated, by all of you.
Seriously: In a serious manner Adjective- I'm seriously, I can't find Allison.
Facts: Something that actually exists; reality; truth Noun- I'm talking about facts, they aren't supersititions.
Coast: The land next to the sea; seashore Noun- I found a phone when I was in the coast.
Sea level: The horizontal plane or level corresponding to the surface of the sea at mean level between high and low tide. Noun- I think it may be in the sea level.
Ski: One of a pair of long, slender runners made of wood, plastic, or metal used in gliding over snow. Noun- We are going to try ski the next month.
Fool: A silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or sense. Adjective- You are such a fool!
Edgewise: With the edge forward; in the direction of the edge. Adjective- I think that is edgewise
Acknowledge: To admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of Verb- you have to acknowledge the body
Hilarious: Arousing great merriment; extremely funny Adjective- Actually, that was hilarious.
Hurtle: To rush violently; move with great speed Verb- Please, don't hurtle that bottle! You can hurt soemone!
Irate: Angry; enraged Verb- I am irrated!
