TermDefinition
dimensions tell how far the figure extends in each direction
face one of the flat surfaces of a polyhedron
lateral faces a (flat) side of a polyhedron
net A drawing of each of he faces of a prism or pyramid, as if it were cut along its edges and flattened out.
percent a ratio that compares a number to 100
polyhedron a three dimensional figure with no holes for which all faces are polygons
rectangular prism A solid (3-dimensional) object which has six faces that are rectangles
surface area the sum of all the area(s) of the surface(s) of a three dimensional solid
volume a measurement on size of the three dimensional region enclosed with an object
rate A ratio comparing two quantities
ratio compares two quantities by division
