What are dynamic verbs? Tells us that specific physical,mental, physical, or perceptual action is taking place in a sentence.
Give examples of Dynamic verbs? Kick, scream,melt,hit punch.
What are stative verbs? Identify's processes or states of being in which no obvious actions takes place .
Give examples of stative verbs? Be, have ,am ,had, feel
What are auxiliary verbs? Verbs which are used together with a main verb to show the verb’s tense or to form a negative or question. They can also express time scales, emphasis or attitude.
Give examples of primary auxiliary verbs? Have, be, and, do, is
What is a modal verb? Type of auxiliary (helping) verb that is used to express: ability, possibility, permission, intention,prediction,necessity or obligation.
Give examples modal auxiliary verbs? Can, could, should ,shall,would,will, may ,must, might.
What are four main inflections? -s, -ed, -ing, -en.
What are main (Lexical) verbs? Verbs which carry the meaning of the sentence, otherwise it would not make sense without it.
What are action verbs? Verbs that express action.
Give examples of action verbs? Went, broke, chased, dropped, was
What is a proper noun? Names specific one-of-a-kind items, and they begin with capital letters, no matter where they occur within a sentence.
Give examples of proper nouns? England, Westminster, Agatha Christie, Jupiter, Queen
What is a common noun? Classify's things into types of general categories
What is a concrete noun? Physical things like people,objects and places, things that can be observed and measured.
Give examples of concrete nouns? Chair, table, guitar, clothes, drums
Give examples of common nouns? Chair, cat , flower, window, painting
