TermDefinition
Positive Numbers Numbers whose value is greater than 0.
Negative Numbers Numbers whose value is less than 0
Opposites Two numbers that are the same distance from 0 on a number line, but on opposite sides of 0.
Integers The set of whole numbers and their opposites.
Absolute Value The distance between the number and 0 on a number line.
Coordinate Plane Formed by the intersection of the horizontal axis or number line and the vertical axis or number line.
Origin Where the X & Y axis intersect. This is also where we always start our graphing.
