2018 - 2019 Math 7 Algebra vocabulary

TermDefinition
Inequality A mathematical sentence that shows the relationship between quantities that are not equal
Percent of change the amount stated as a percent that a number increased or decreases
Scale The ratio of the length in a drawing (or model) to the length of the real thing
Absolute value A number's distance from zero
Expression Numbers, symbols, and/or operations grouped together that show the value of something
Constant A fixed value (a value that does not change)
Similar Figures with the same shape but not necessarily the same size
Rate A ratio that compares two quantities measured in different units
