| Anti-climax | A disappointing sudden end |
| Aside | A short remark made by an actor to the audience |
| Assonance | The repeated use of a vowel sound |
| Attitude | The authors feelings toward the topic; tone |
| Antithesis | A concept that is directly opposed to a previous presented idea |
