Analysis Detailed examination of the element or structure of something, typically as a basis for discussion or interpretation.
Central Idea The central idea is the central, unifying element of the story, which ties together all of the other elements of fiction used by the author of the story.
Cite Quote (a passage, book, or author) as evidence for or justification of an argument or statement, especially in a scholarly work.
Conveyed Make (an idea, impression, or feeling) known or understandable to someone.
Details An individual feature, fact, or item.
Determine Ascertain or establish exactly, typically as a result of research or calculation.
Distinct Recognizably different in nature from something else of a similar type.
Drawn Using information that is implied or inferred to make meaning out of what is not clearly stated.
Explicitly Ina clear and detailed manner, leaving no room for confusion or doubt.
Inferences A conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning.
Judgements The ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions.
Opinions A view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
Provide Make available for use; supply.
Summary Ab brief statement or account of the main points of something.
Textual Evidence Evidence from a text that you can use to illustrate your ideas and support your arguments.
Theme The subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person's thoughts, or an exhibition; a topic.
Anecdotes A short and amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person.
Characters A person in a novel, play, or movie. It can also be the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
Elaborated Develop or present (a theory, policy, or system) in detail.
Episodes An event or a group of events occurring as a part of a larger sequence; an incident or period considered in isolation.
Illustrated Explain or make (something) clear by using examples, charts, pictures. etc.
Plot The main events of a play, novel, movie, or similar work, devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.
Resolution The action of solving a problem, dispute, or contentious matter.
Connotative Refers to a meaning that is implied by a word apart from the thing which it describes explicitly.
Contributes Give something in order to help achieve or provide something.
Development A specified state of growth or advancement or the process of developing or being developed.
Figurative Departing from a literal use of words; metaphorical.
Impact The action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another.
Scene The place where an incident in real life or fiction occurs or occurred.
Setting The place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place.
