| Terrace | 1. An area of ground on the side of a hill that has a flattened top in order to grow things. 2. A platform built out from a house; a patio. |

| Territory | A large area of land, a region; a settlement or colony. |
| Telecast | A broadcast by television. |
| Teleconference | A meeting at which people see and talk to each other using long-distance devices, such as telephones, televisions, and computers. |
| Telegraph | An instrument invented in 1837 by Samuel Morse that used electricity passing through wires to send messages over distances. |
| Telemarketing | Selling by telephone. |
| Telescope | An instrument for making distant objects look closer and larger. |
| Astronaut | Space traveler. |
| Astronomical | 1. Extremely large, huge. 2.Related to astronomy. |
| Astronomy | The branch of science for the study of planets, stars, and space. |
| Inactive | 1. Not moving or active. 2. No longer in use. |
| Informal | Casual, relaxed, not formal. |
| Insignificant | Not significant, unimportant, lacking power or value. |
| Insomnia | An ongoing condition of being unable to fall or stay asleep. |
| Semiannual | Occurring in half a year, every six months. |
| Semicolon | A punctuation mark that signals a break in a sentence, halfway between the full stop of a period and the short pause of a comma. |
| Semiconscious | Half or partly awake, not fully conscious, in a daze. |
| Semiformal | Requiring good clothes rather than play clothes. |
| Semiprecious | Having only part of the value of a precious gemstone. |
