Main Keyboard Keys: There are some special keys used to perform certain functions in Sabre. For example, the * (asterisk) character is the Display key, used in entries to display parts of Passenger Name Records. A PNR, or P assenger N ame R ecord, is used to store all the data about a passenger's travel plans. Simply put, a PNR is the reservation that the customer makes online, and includes air, car and hotel bookings.
Display * Used to display parts of a Passenger Name Record. Frequently used and appears in many GDS entries. Hyphen or "Dash" - Used mainly for passenger name entries, and displaying profiles. Cross of Lorraine ¥ Identifier that is a fixed P Phone R Received I Itinerary N Name T Ticketing
Change ¤ Used when making a change to a PNR element. (Note: In this training program the pillow character appears onscreen as ¤.) Insert After Segment / Used when re-arranging segments in your PNR. Here are some additional keys used to access specific types of information with the Sabre system. For instance, the 1 key begins Sabre entries which pertain to flight availability. Before the CRS will accept any print request, you must first designate a printer. This is somesi=times referred to as "signing into a printer". NOTE: By adding a display symbol (*) after the printer address or word END, the system will sign you into or out of the hardcopy printer in all areas. The purpose of the Ticketing Line, also known as the TAW line, is to provide ticketing instructions for how and when the ticket should be issued.

The entry consists of the remarks qualifier 5, followed by the item number of the remark that you want to change, the change key (¤), the letter H for Historical, a hyphen (-), then the new remark text.
In application, the entry shown above would change the second remark in the remarks field to H-STEVE CALLED TO CHANGE HOTEL TO JULY 6-9.
