factor a number you multiply by
divisor a number you divide by
product the answer to a multiplication problem
proper factors all factors of a number except the number itself
multiple the product of two whole numbers by skip counting
prime number a number with exactly two factors, 1 and itself
composite number a number with more than two factors
factor pair two numbers multiplied together to get a product
square number a number with an odd amount of factors, a number times itself results in a square number
even number a number that has 2 as a factor and a divisor
odd number a number that does not have 2 as a factor or a divisor
conjecture an educated guess based on observations
venn diagram a diagram that uses circle to group information
common multiples multiples that two numbers share
least common multiple the smallest multiple that two numbers share
common factors factors that two numbers share
greatest common factor the largest factor that two numbers share
