Connotation (n.) an idea or feeling that a word invokes in addition to its literal or primary meaning

Divergent (adj.) tending to be different or develop in different directions
Supercilious (adj.) behaving or looking as though one thinks one is superior to others

Ambivalent (adj.) having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone
