Why is Giles Corey arrested? He refuses to give up any names
How many death warrants has Hale signed? 72
What do the men want Mary Warren to do on command? faint
What does Proctor confess? his affair with Abby
What does Proctor saw about his wife that eventually works against him? He says she never lies
What do the girls pretend to see in the courtroom? yellow bird
What does Mary claim Proctor made her do? sign the devil's book and help him overthrow the court
What does Hale do at the end of the act? Why? He quits the court because he thinks the way the court is being run is messed up.
