Louisiana Notary

TermDefinition
Notary A public official for and in a parish. Appointed by the governor and approved by the senate. After meeting requirements set in Title 35 of the revised statutes. 35.1 States the duties and function of the Notary public in La.
Notary de jure On who holds office pursuant to the requirements of the law.
Non - Notary Attorney A notary who is not a attn.
Notary bond Is a financial responsibility in connection with a performance or obligation. Rather than depositing case it is usually a non traditional mortgage or contract of suretyship.
Seal A notary's signature. If a document is going out of state or to dmv one is required.
Instrument A written or electronic document that requires a signature and a notarial act.
Raised Seal Impressed onto a document raising the impression to the surface.
Transfer To convey or remove from one place or person to another.
Marital Status Single. Married
SSN/TIN Last 4 digits of SSN or Tax Identification Number of the mortgagor. Needs to be place in the appearance of clause.
Full Name First Name Middle Name Last name; First initial Middle Name Last Name; First Name Middle Initial Last Name ex Cierra Morgan Ramos; C. Blaze Wheat; Cierra M. Ramos
R.S. 35.12 Name under Signature- must be typed or written under all witness and notary as well as affiants, buyers/sellers on a notary act.
3rd Person(Party) A person who is not a party to or personally bound by, an instrument.
