INSTE stands for Institute of Theology by Extension
What is two-fold teaching method? The inste distance education that is in your church utilizing a training methodology to do with learning in relationships known as mentoring.
What is a mentor? A mentor is a leader who shares his experience, time, and knowledge with the student, and shoes through his own example what it means to be a disciple in Christ.
What are the two levels of Inste College and define them. Level one: ministry training - designed to help the student in her develop as a disciple of Christ. Level two: leadership development- prepares youbfir church leadership
The level one curriculum is designed to help you to be not only a (1) but also a (2) so that you will be a (3) 1-believer 2-disciple 3-servant/minister
A level one graduate is (3 answers and define each) 1. Being - the Word of God becomes incarnated in your lifestyle/ spiritual maturity 2. Knowing - learn concepts/ identifies spiritual gift 3. Doing- put concepts into practice/ form disciple habits/ serves in giftedness
What are the 4 courses if level one? Discipleship 1, discipleship 2, Old Testament, New Testament
What are 3 primary components of the inste system? Explain each 1. Daily study plan - intended to help you firm the habit of studying the word and praying everyday. 2. Weekly meeting- opportunity to reflect with group on lesson to see relationship between concepts learned and life. 3. Inste graduation at local church
How many lessons? 12 plus orientation plus review.
What two things should you do in daily study time? Read and respond to questions
What is importance of objectives? They define the goals and topics covered in the exam.
What identifies the part of the lesson you will study each week? The study plan
What commitment statement did you sign on day 1? Discipleship commitment
Define spiritual formation The foundation of all that we strive to achieve in this study of discipleship. The formation of character of the disciple, her values and attitudes, and her willingness to be changed into the image of Christ.

What are the four levels of relationships developed in a Inste group? Leader/ mentor, spiritual growth partners, members of the Inste group, ministry in the church
With regard to levels of relationship, explain leader/ mentor Observes spiritual qualities in the leader he would like to develop in his own life. Leader observes students readiness to follow directions and counsel and comply with requirements.
With regard to levels of relationship, explain Spiritual Growth Partner Student shares with partner once a week about what is happening in their progress toward personal goals. The encourage each other and pray for each other.
With regard to levels of relationship, explain Inste group. The group members freely reflect significance of what they have learned. They learn from each other as Christ is exhausted in their lifestyles.
With regard to levels of relationship, explain ministry in church. Each student will learn what their giftedness is and how to use those gifts for the edification of the church. Share with others what has been received from the Lord.
What are the 3 things you will do with Spiritual Growth Partners each meeting: 1. You will inform each other of your progress toward goals. 2. You will pray for each other. 3. You will encourage each other to complete assignments
What are the benefits of being accountable to a brother or sisters? Protects us from self deception and provides the opportunity for a word of correction or encouragement when necessary
In the group you will learn what it means to be a part of the church of Jesus Christ by these 3 things Learn to value contributions of other members Give mutual encouragement To think of one another
