Fractions - Addition and Subtraction

TermDefinition
Numerator the top number in a fraction. It tells how many parts of the whole there are.
Mixed Number a whole number and a fraction written together.
Sum the answer to an addition problem.
Denominator the number written below the line in a fraction. It tells how many parts there are in the whole.
Difference the amount one quantity is smaller or larger than another -- also, the answers to a subtraction problem.
Like Denominators fractions having the same denominator.
Simplify to write something in its shortest and simplest form
Unlike Denominators fractions that have different denominators.
