Perimeter and Area

TermDefinition
Formula numbers and symbols that show how to work something out.
Square Units units used when measuring area.
Distance the length between two points.
Length the measure of something from side to side.
Width how long an object is from end to end.
Scaled Measure a measurement that represents the correct sizes except they have all been enlarged or reduced by a certain amount. That amount is called the scale.
Perimeter the distance around a shape - the boundary.
Dimensions a measure of size including length, width and height.
Area the amount of space inside the boundaries of a two-dimensional shape.
